Tell us about the attack

Two pit bulls got out of their home and attacked a woman walking in the park. My husband heard her screams and ran out to help her. The pit bulls turned on him as well. Both the woman and my husband had to be airlifted to a trauma center.

How has your life changed as a result of the attack?
My husband now needs care to shower, go to the bathroom, change bandages. He can’t hold anything heavier than a coffee cup. The woman needed surgery to repair muscle tissue in her body. I can’t stand to look outside because the attack happened right outside our door.

Legal Consequences
The pit bulls were surrendered and put down.

What would you like people to know as a result of your attack?
The pit bulls were said to be support dogs for the grandson of the homeowner. Obviously the information was falsified.
