Tell us about the attack

I was walking my two standard poodles. One, a fully-licenced Medical Service; the other in-training. Two pit bulls appeared suddenly out of nowhere, knocking both myself and wife to the ground. One of our dogs received three bites to the lower neck and shoulder.

How has your life changed as a result of the attack?
Our lives have changed dramatically and we are now in fear when out with our dogs. My medical service dog has lost his trust with other dogs. If it were tested today, he would not pass the exam.  This is so unfair. We are only fortunate that we and our beloved dogs were not killed.

Legal Consequences
I would have taken this to court if my health and financial situation allowed.

What would you like people to know as a result of your attack?
We travel by road and recreational vehicle. At ever park we now ask for the park rules pertaining to dogs and whether there are strict rules on aggressive, out-of-control dogs.
