Tell us about the attack

Standing holding my 1-month-old grandson for the first time. My son’s girlfriend’s pit bull reached over my shoulder, grabbed my grandson by his head, and mauled him to death. I heard this pit bull crush my grandson’s skull. I am still in shock as this happened 5 days ago. I had begged and pleaded with my son and his girlfriend to get rid of this animal even before my grandson arrived. My son had told me the pit bull had already bit him. But the girlfriend flat out refused. I had never been around theirs because of it. But because this was Mother’s Day, I went. So this was my first time at her house, my first time meeting my grandson.

How has your life changed as a result of the attack?
Words cannot begin to describe this unbearable pain and horror I am experiencing right now. My life will NEVER be the same. The pain I feel is indescribable.

Legal Consequences
I am looking into finding out if this dog had any previous complaints for attacking or trying to attack.

What would you like people to know as a result of your attack?
NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER allow a pit bull anywhere near a child, or anyone you love. They are vicious, demonic animals.
