Tell us about the attack

I was walking my two miniature poodles on leashes. A loose pit bull approached us and seized one of my dogs. She was screaming, I was screaming and my other dog was barking at the beast. He wouldn’t let go. I tried to do everything. A neighbor heard the loud screams and came out to help, but the two of us could not get the beast to release my dog. He killed her. I was bit twice in the process.

How has your life changed as a result of the attack?
Devastated! Nightmares and both me and my surviving dog have PTSD.

The pit bull is still at the house with his owner. After investigating, I learned this pit bull committed two prior attacks in a neighboring County. The most recent was just a few months ago.

Legal Consequences
Ongoing investigation with Animal Control.

What would you like people to know as a result of your attack?
We are prisoners in our own home until the laws that are in place are enforced. Irresponsible pit bull owners don’t care.
