Tell us about the attack

On the morning of Tuesday, September 14th 2021 at around 8 to 8:30 a.m., I was mowing the little patch of grass in my alleyway. I looked up and down the alley to see if any dogs or anything were around. I did not see anything, so I proceeded to mow. I was mowing facing towards 39th when the pit bulls came up behind me. The male pit bull, the gray and white one, grabbed onto my leg. I tried to move the lawn mower to scare him but it did not work. He pulled me to the ground. The pups were sniffing around me. They — all three of them pit bull pups — had my pants mostly at that point and one of them had my leg and they were pulling me, trying to drag me. The male pit bull was trying to climb me to get at my face. I somehow managed to crawl to my fence and pull most of my body into my property except for my leg.

How has your life changed as a result of the attack?
It’s completely changed. I’ve had two surgeries so far and a skin graft. I’m seeing the faces of the attacking pit bulls’ faces. I am in so much pain.

Legal Consequences
We have court soon. I don’t want the pit bulls owners to get away with what their pit bulls did to me.
