The following email will go to the Denver, Colorado city council members who supported the pit bull ban, asking them to stand firm in their votes. To send it, just fill in your email address at the end, and click Send Now.
Thank you for voting against the repeal of Denver’s pit bull ban.
On the same day that the other councilors voted to repeal it, Sterling Vermeer, a 5-year-old boy in Oro Grande, California, was killed by the 12-year-old pit bull that his family had lovingly raised from a pup, Devin White, a 25-year-old man in Plainfield, Illinois, died of injuries after being attacked by a family pet pit bull, and a 10-year-old boy was mauled by his family’s newly-acquired pit bull in Neshoba County, Mississippi.
See here for a list of other attacks happening around the country: https://www.nationalpitbullvictimawareness.org/attacks/pit-bull-attack-database . You will be staggered by the sheer scope of attacks severe enough to make news headlines.
There is no other type of dog that needs a multi-million-dollar advocacy to promote it, and literally no other type of dog with more than 75 volunteer support organizations for its victims.
Please stay firm in your resolve to keep Denver’s pit bull ban in place.
